I've been looking for a soap tin to keep my soap from turning to mush in the shower. I was originally eyeing this Pre de Provence soap tin, but at $18 it seemed a bit expensive. I was almost resigned to getting a plastic soap case when I stumbled upon this tinned Seaweed Soap by Scottish Fine Soaps.
These soaps turn up from time to time at stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's - I got mine at Marshall's for $4! So for 4 buckaroonies I got a soap and a re-useable tin. Score!
For those who can't easily find Scottish Fine Soaps, or don't want to order online, Lush carries some tins for under $4 that you can check out here, here, and here.
Hope everyone is having a good day and to my fellow Americanos - Happy President's Day!
Oooh, good find! I don't use bar soap very often, and part of the reason is because I hate it becoming a soggy mess and sliding all over the tub. This would be a really easy solution to both of those things!
ReplyDeleteWow! New follower here & loving your new soap tin! Had to laugh a little though, as I come from Scotland and haven't been able to find a good tin yet! :)
ReplyDelete@Sarah - Thanks! Soggy bar soap is also a big pet peeve of mine, so I tend to use liquid body wash. But I keep seeing all these neat bar soaps around and had to find a way to work them into my life!
ReplyDelete@Dana - Thank you! Bummer that you can't find a good tin. Maybe you could find one online? There are lots out there :)
